Mother Begins Funding Project for Disabled as B.C. Government Programs Fall Short

Winfield, B.C. (ContentDesk via ContentDesk Direct) November 29, 2005 -- According to the Ministry of Employment and Income Assistance Rate Tables for Disability Assistance in B. C., shelter rate has not been increased since July 2002 however, the support rate was increased in January 2005.
A single disabled individual, who qualifies for the B.C. government programs, receives $856.42 per month.

This amount includes an allowance of $325.00 for shelter and $531.42 for support needs.
Since the shelter rate alone falls short of rental accommodation for most of the disabled population of B.C., how do they obtain the extras that the middle class working individual enjoys? Some have family, others caring friends or community groups who try their best to supplement projects like computers, specialized transportation or other "wish list" items and activities. What are they suppose to do? asks Robyn Hoffman. There is provision for earning extra income of $400 per month without the government reducing their support allowance but, large majorities of the disabled group are unable to even perform daily living activities let alone be gainfully employed.Robyn Hoffman, a retired nurse, from Winfield, British Columbia is hoping to come to the aid of the disabled. Hoffman understands the frustrations and roadblocks that are encountered as the disabled struggle only upon the financial assistance provided by the government.

She has an adult son with Muscular Dystrophy who lives on his own in Kamloops, B. C., with the support of 24 hour care attendants.Hoffman thanks Gerry Bakker of www.101hostingsite.com
for his kindness and direction for her Internet billboard-style advertising site www.pixelpage2helpdisabled.com.
She took this initiative after seeing David Bakkers site featured in the Kelowna Courier November 11, 2005. Philanthropic efforts are always a challenge, explains Hoffman, as in the past, she has been involved with fund raising efforts for the Canadian Muscular Dystrophy Association.
After viewing Bakkers site, she was immediately attracted to the potential of providing extras to the disabled in lieu of the $1 pixel space on her webpage.

She envisions the site having the potential of being a resource to the disabled as a portal of interest and services.
Hoffman remains inspired by Ty Pennington and Oprah Winfrey who have networked effectively with corporate sponsorship for a wide variety of special services to the needy.
I am confident that my Internet site will generate participation from individuals and the business community who want to make a difference in the quality of life for the disabled, explains Hoffman.
Great results cannot be achieved at once, but as we walk- step by step. -- Margaret Fishback Powers, author of the famous poem, "Footprints." Contact:??????????????????Robyn HoffmanPixelpage2helpdisabled.com#7-3339 Clement Road,Winfield, B.C., V4V 2M51-250-766-9234 Fax1-250-862-4626 Cellular.

A Small Lesson On Real Estate Loans

Today's real estate market has been changing since the early part of 2006.

For those of you who have been watching the television lately, the housing market has taken a large dip in pricing all over the country.

The one thing that has had little coverage is that real estate interest rates have not gone up but have gone down, a little at a time, over the last few months.
There will be no rate changes one way or the other until after the first of 2007, and maybe not even then.

A fixed conventional interest rate for a 30 year period is still really good.
There are lenders offering 30 year fixed rate loans but are giving what is called 40 or 50 year amortization due in 30 years.

This makes it easier for buyers to qualify for home loans as a 40 or 50 year amortization lowers the monthly payment, but the loan is still not due for 30 years.

There are also 40 and 50 year amortization loans...

Home Buyers In Sugar Land's Telfair Camp Out To Buy Homes

(ContentDesk) June 13, 2006 -- Before official ground breaking could begin, some home buyers in the newest Sugar Land community, Telfair, camped out in their cars to buy homes just one weekend following an introductory event for the area's top Real Estate Agents. Telfair developer, Newland Communities, hosted the event.Although Telfair is planned to be a 6 year project, with over 2,000 homes, many home buyers felt the need to spend the night to be the first in line to buy the exact home and lot they wanted.
An effort judged unnecessary according to Don Burns, a leading local Real Estate Agent."It would have been far easier to have a Realtor represent them on the transaction," according to Don Burns.
"The Builder would have been contacted, the lot location, plats and plans faxed or e-mailed,...

Finding the Right Home Rental in Lake Tahoe

There are a few patterns to consider when looking for a Lake Tahoe home rental.
You'll pay more for the houses near the ski areas in the winter time no matter the size and you'll always pay more for lakefront properties no matter what time of year. But if you can decide what you need (or want) and what you want to spend there are a multitude of choices for house vacation rentals in and around the beautiful lake.

High up on a hill, overlooking the western shores of Lake Tahoe sits an 8,000 square foot home visited by presidents, dignitaries and the merely wealthy. Built in the 1930s by a noted steel magnate, the house is now available for rent, ranging in price from $3,000 per night to $50,000 per month depending upon the season. It comes fully equipped with a full staff of cook, housekeeper, maid and butler, a choice of automobiles to use, a pool and down on the lake, the private boat dock with what can only be described as a "lake yacht" complete with a skipper...
